JONESBORO, ARk. – The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department has begun a mill and overlay project on Arkansas 18 (Southwest Drive and Highland Drive from Alexander Drive to Red Wolf Boulevard).
The project will take three to four weeks, and delays are to be expected as lane closures occur.
On the Highland portion, only the outside lanes will be milled. Asphalt paving will be done when milling is complete. On Southwest Drive, base repairs will start in the northbound lane just north of I-555. One the base is repaired, milling will begin followed by asphalt paving. All lanes of Southwest Drive will be milled and paved.
