JONESBORO, Ark. – An officer noticed a bulge inside of a woman’s pants and found felony drug paraphernalia behind the mystery mound, a report said.
At 5:41 p.m. Friday, June 9, Jonesboro Police Investigator Chris Jefferson conducted the stop while working with the Street Crimes Unit. A blue Chrystler Town & Country van was stopped near Belt and Allis streets because the driver, Tyler Gibson, had a suspended license.
During the stop, Jefferson made contact with Ava M. Ware, 29, of Bay. Ware was on felony probation, the report said. Jeffefrson asked if she had anything illegal on her and reported she said no. However, he noticed a “bulge in Ware’s crotch.” He removed a blue and black eyeglasses cloth case containing two glass meth pipes, both used.
Ware was arrested and taken to Craighead County Detention Center, where a female jailer continued the search and located a small zip loc baggie with a small amount of suspected meth inside of Ware’s “jean shorts.”
She faces felony charges for possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and furnishing prohibited articles.
