
LAKE CITY, Ark. – Suspect(s) in what was possibly a red car shot up a family’s mailbox Monday night in Lake City.
At about 9:49 p.m., Craighead County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 1200-block of County Road 988 in reference to a shots fired call. They made contact with a man who said he was eating dinner with his family in the kitchen when they heard two loud gunshots.
The man ran to the window to look outside and discover what was happening. He said he saw a car that looked as if it was red in color take off eastbound down the county road. It then turned right and went northbound on the levee.
The suspects shot the man’s mailbox but only put a few small dents in it.
