Local company to assist in applications for help

POCAHONTAS, Ark. – A program is giving money to displaced families, renters or owners in flooded areas of Arkansas.

The Arkansas Board of Realtors supports a program to give money to displaced families, renters or owners, called Hearts and Homes of Arkansas, Inc. It is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that was established in 2009 to assist residents across Arkansas who have lost their home, their office, their ability to pay for their home and/or their livelihood through a natural disaster or other catastrophic events. As a member of The Arkansas Realtor Association, Carter Realty has the applications and will help those in need fill them out and mail them. This will be done on Friday May 5th from 10am to 3pm at the Carter Realty office at 1670 Hwy 62 in Pocahontas. 

In addition, Carter Realty plans to do this each Friday until they get everyone completed. If you cannot make it the staff can come to you.  You may call at 870-892-2555 if you have any questions.
