Jonesboro police looking for Saturday night shooter

JONESBORO, Ark. – Jonesboro police are searching for a suspect following a shooting incident that occurred on Hope Street Saturday night.

Officers responding to a shots-fired complaint in the 800 block of Hope Street shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday night were told by witnesses that one man shot another following an argument inside a residence.

However, both the victim and the suspect left the scene before officers arrived. Police later located the victim, a 36-year-old man, nearby. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of what is believed to be a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The suspect has not been located.
