JONESBORO, Ark. – A commercial burglary was reported Monday morning at Doublebee’s, Gladiola Express, at 3511 Harrisburg Road.
Jonesboro police responded at about 2:20 a.m. to the alarm, finding the front glass door broken. Officers arrived and cleared the building. Once they determined no one was inside, a Craighead County K-9 officer arrived on the scene and unsuccessfully attempted to track the suspects.
“I went there this morning before work to get a coffee and a pack of smokes and the window was busted and it had a sign on the door saying they were closed due to robbery,” NEA Report reader Zach shared.
Surveillance video showed two male suspects entered the store and steal the cash registers. They approached the front door from the south side, according to the report. It appeared that a suspect used a tire iron to break the glass door. They then entered and tried to break into the ATM machine.
The crooks pulled the ATM over, kicked it a few times but then gave up. They then went to the counter and stole the cash registers, leaving the store and running south in front of the building.
The suspects were wearing ski masks and gloves.
