JONESBORO, Ark. – A customer who withdrew money from the bank and forgot to take it learned not all will do the right thing.
Jonesboro police took the incident report describing what happened Wednesday – but the incident itself happened on Friday, Feb. 3. A customer at BancorpSouth, 1901 West Parker Road in Jonesboro, had withdrawn $550 from the bank but when he concluded his business, left the cash envelope on the counter.
The next customer then allegedly pocketed the cash.
The bank’s manager stated she knew who the suspect was but she could not release her information or the surveillance video without a subpoena, per bank policy.
The suspected thief faces a misdemeanor charge of theft of $1,000 or less.
