POCAHONTAS, Ark. – A weekend rumor seemed to be unfounded after authorities caught wind of it and spoke to NEA Report.
The rumor that several reached out to us about was that three men drowned on Black River but according to Randolph County Sheriff Gary Tribble, this was an unfounded rumor.
Tribble told NEA Report his county had contacted neighboring counties and found no credibility to the rumor.
It was speculated by some on NEA Report’s Facebook page that the rumor began by mistake from confusion with three Texas duck hunters drowning over the weekend.
