Shots fired call Wednesday night in Jonesboro 

 

JONESBORO, Ark. – Jonesboro police Wednesday night responded to a complaint of a fight in a yard near the intersection of Paragould Drive and Prospect Road.

Officers responded shortly to the shooting which reportedly happened shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday night. Officers responded only being told that shots had been fired.

Witnesses told police that the person responsible for firing the shots left the scene before officers arrived. No one was struck by gunfire, but one vehicle was damaged, officers determined.

Police were able to determine a possible location for the suspected shooter, went to that location and took a suspect into custody. Khalid Robertson, 24, of Jonesboro, was arrested and faces a charge of aggravated assault for the suspected act.

Robertson was in Craighead County Detention Center as of last check Thursday.

An investigation into the incident, which occurred shortly before 7 Wednesday night, is continuing.
