Report: Three suspects burst into home at gunpoint

JONESBORO, Ark. – Another report of a group of men bursting into a home at gunpoint has been made in Jonesboro.

At 1 a.m. Sunday morning, Jonesboro Police Department was dispatched to the 1900-block of West Oak Street, meeting with a resident who was home alone when the scare happened.

The man told police someone rang his doorbell. He opened the door and three males rushed into the residence, ordering him on the ground at gunpoint. While on the ground, he was kicked and stomped on the head and face, leaving a bruise on his forehead and chipping his tooth. One suspect remained holding him at gunpoint.

The other two criminals went through the rooms of the homes, looking for valuables to steal. The victim said he believed they were looking for drugs or money and found none. Before leaving, one of the suspects said they knew they were at the wrong house, according to the report.

A cell phone and laptop were stolen from the man.

The man couldn’t provide a description to police of the suspects but the potential charges for the assailants include felony aggravated residential burglary along with theft and battery charges.
