TRUMANN, Ark. – The smell of marijuana led officers to the Days Inn in Trumann and that led officers to making two felony arrests.

Officers with Trumann Police Department responded Thursday to the Days Inn in reference to a strong odor of marijuana emanating from one of the rooms. Upon contacting two persons in the suspected room, consent to search the room was obtained, according to the Trumann Police Department.

Officers located 11.8 ounces of marijuana along with marijuana wax, a suspected methamphetamine pipe, Xanax pills, drug paraphernalia, and items used to package and sell marijuana.

A white female and a white male were subsequently arrested, facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, and will appear in court on Friday for a probable cause hearing.
