JONESBORO, Ark. – A man who had a car reportedly change lanes on him refused to let the suspect get away Tuesday.

While a man was traveling northbound on Main Street, a gold Mercury Grand Marquis changed lanes onto him, according to his report. The driver, Theresa Watts, 18, of Jonesboro, was attempting to change lanes, according to the man’s report.

However, instead of stopping, Watts told the officer she got nervous after the accident and tried to make it home. The victim, however, followed her to the intersection of Nettleton Avenue and Church Street before flagging down an officer.

There may be a reason why she was nervous.

The report said the officer found Watts had no driver’s license or proof of insurance for the vehicle.

Watts was arrested for three misdemeanor charges: no insurance, no license and leaving the scene of an accident. She was taken to Craighead County Detention Center.
