JONESBORO, Ark. – Learning of the decision by candidate John Shipman to withdraw from the race for Craighead County Sheriff this week, Sheriff Marty Boyd responded on his Facebook page, just before midnight Thursday.
“As we were gearing up to kick the campaign into high gear it was announced yesterday that my opposition has dropped out of the race for personal reasons,” Boyd wrote. “I want to thank everyone for their wonderful support that is shown on a daily basis to me and my family, it is humbling to say the least!”
