
POCAHONTAS, Ark. – A man wanted for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl in June was arrested Sunday in Pocahontas.
Miguel Solas Garcia, 25, of Dover, Ohio, was arrested Sunday after Captain Shawn Nelson with the New Philadelphia (Ohio) Police Department received a tip, according to WTUZ.com’s report. The report said the suspect’s identity was verified “through an informant on the inside,” before authorities in Pocahontas apprehended the fugitive.
Garcia, who may be using an alias, is currently being extradited to Ohio to face charges.
The TimesReporter.com from Ohio is reporting police believe Garcia is living in the United States illegally, coming from Guatemalan origin. He has previously worked under the name “Cesar Moldanado.”
Garcia has children with the alleged victim’s sister, the report stated.
