Second surgery successful for Freeman

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The second neck surgery for the injured Lawrence County Judge was successful Monday, his wife said.

She said she had her “prayers answered” by the results and that after a few days in intensive care, Freeman would be moved to a regular room from what doctors advised. She said surgeons were very optimistic.

Freeman was in a vehicle accident near Cabot around 5:15 a.m. Wednesday morning. Freeman’s mid-sized Toyota truck was totaled in the accident and he had to be extricated from the crushed vehicle by emergency responders.

His neck was broken in the accident.

He was flown to Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, where he has remained in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
