JPD hires three new officers

JONESBORO, Ark. – Three new officers are on the force in Jonesboro, bringing the total number of police in the city to its full authorized complement.

Jonesboro Police Department officially welcomed Tanner Huff, Colton Brown and Matthew McDaniel to the force Monday morning, with Craighead County District Court Judge Keith Blackman administering the oath of office to the new JPD officers.

This brings the department to its full authorized complement of 159 sworn officers.

Huff, Brown and McDaniel began three weeks of in-house training today, to be followed by the 12-week Basic Police Training Course at the Law Enforcement Training Academy at Black River Technical College in Pocahontas.
