JONESBORO, Ark. – A serious traffic accident happened just before 3 p.m. Monday in Jonesboro.
A 2014 Dodge Tradesman van was driving eastbound on Highland Drive near the intersection of Easley Lane, according to Jonesboro Police Department Officer Weston Gates account to JPD Information Specialist Paul Holmes. As this happened, a 2007 Nissan Altima driving westbound on Highland lost control and moved into the eastbound lane where it and the van collided.
The driver of the van and four occupants of the Nissan were injured and taken to local hospitals for treatment, according to Holmes.
A juvenile passenger in the Nissan was taken to LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center in Memphis for further treatment.
The accident still being investigated.
