POCAHONTAS, Ark. – In an ideal world, emergency responders would never need to use the skills they will develop by training.
Unfortunately, reality is far from ideal and emergency crews must always be prepared. Preparation is the goal in mind for the construction of a new fire training tower at Black River Technical College in Pocahontas.
Fire fighters, police and even law enforcement trainees at the Law Enforcement Training Academy will be using the new facility, according to LETA Director Steve Shults. Other emergency responders may also utilize the facility.
Shults said the project is expected to be completed in the next few weeks.
