TRUMANN, Ark. – Aspiring entrepreneurs and new business owners will have the opportunity to gain expert guidance on launching a successful business at a free workshop hosted by the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) at Arkansas State University.

The in-person workshop, “Starting a Business in Arkansas,” will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Trumann Area Chamber of Commerce, 825 AR-463, Trumann, AR 72472.

This highly practical, resource-rich session is designed to guide participants through each step of the startup process—from refining an idea to officially opening their doors. Topics will include:

  • Checking business readiness
  • Mapping out a business idea
  • Building a brand
  • Laying the legal and operational groundwork
  • Compiling a business plan
  • Obtaining funding
  • Live Q&A session

The workshop will be presented by Robert Bahn, Business Consultant with the A-State ASBTDC, who works directly with entrepreneurs across Northeast Arkansas to develop business plans, secure financing, and build sustainable growth strategies.

“Starting a business is an exciting journey, but preparation is critical,” said Bahn. “This workshop gives entrepreneurs a clear roadmap, practical tools, and access to resources that can help them avoid common pitfalls and move forward with confidence.”
