PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Paragould man was arrested after police say a woman reported being assaulted during an argument earlier this month.
According to a probable-cause affidavit, on Feb. 8, 2026, Officer Scotty Ward spoke with a woman who reported an incident involving her ex-boyfriend, Nathan Lee Guillot.
The woman told police she contacted Guillot earlier in the day and asked him to return her vehicle, which she had loaned to him. She stated that when Guillot arrived at her residence, he began yelling and screaming before becoming angry and striking her in the eye.
The affidavit states the woman reported swelling, bruising and redness to her eye, and said Guillot also struck her in the back of the head.
Police say the woman further reported that Guillot took her prescription hydrocodone and Xanax.
While Guillot was being transported to the police department for processing, officers reported that Guillot stated he had pills in his pocket. Officers located two white pills in his right pocket that were identified as hydrocodone. The affidavit states Guillot did not have a prescription for the medication.
Nathan Lee Guillot, 41, of Paragould, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony, and third-degree domestic battering, a Class A misdemeanor.
Judge Curtis Hitt set Guillot’s bond at $25,000 cash or surety and ordered conditions including a GPS ankle monitor, no contact with the victim, and no possession of weapons.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
