$150,000 in Scholarships Now Available for Greene County Students

Applications Accepted February 1 – March 15

Paragould, Ark. (Feb. 3, 2026) – Beginning February 1, Arkansas students can apply for scholarships administered by Arkansas Community Foundation. March 15 is the deadline to apply for most opportunities. Students can begin their application by visiting www.arcf.org/scholarships.

“For nearly 50 years, Arkansas Community Foundation has worked alongside generous individuals and organizations to help students pursue higher education,” said Jessica Ford, president and CEO of Arkansas Community Foundation. “Our donors make these scholarships possible by shaping each opportunity, and we’re honored to steward the application and awarding process, connecting their generosity with students ready to take the next step.”

Each scholarship has its own eligibility criteria. In general, the Foundation’s scholarships are for Arkansas students pursuing higher education at two- or four-year colleges or universities, vocational schools, or technical training programs. Some scholarships are designated for graduates of a named high school or for students who plan to attend a specific college. Other scholarships are based on extracurricular activities or intended college majors.

Locally, students from Greene County are eligible to apply for these scholarships, established for students in the area:

  • Alice Mae Wheeler Scholarship Endowment
  • Greene County Bar Association Scholarship Endowment
  • Greene County Scholarship Endowment
  • Greene County Tech FFA Alumni Endowment
  • Jim Holland Endowment

  • M.A. “Mack” West Scholarship Endowment

“Funding for these scholarships comes from families, businesses and individuals who want to support higher education and invest in Arkansas students,” said Kerri Watson, executive director Arkansas Community Foundation of Greene County. “These donors determine the size and eligibility criteria for the scholarships they create, and we manage the scholarship process on their behalf.” Students are encouraged to contact their school counselors for guidance on applying for these scholarships online and many others that may require a paper application.
