CAMP JOSEPH T. ROBINSON, NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders has ordered the Arkansas National Guard to provide potable water to Newport in Jackson County for up to five days.
One, two-person team, from the 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team will provide support with a 400-gallon water buffalo for day-time operations only. The team was expected to be in place by Noon today at Newport Fire Department Station 2, 616 2nd St.
