PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Paragould woman is facing multiple felony charges following an investigation into the alleged theft and use of a debit card, according to court records.
Ashley McPherson, 38, of Paragould, has been charged with two counts of theft of property, both Class D felonies, in Greene County.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the victim reported on Nov. 18, 2025, that their debit card had been stolen and subsequently used at two local businesses. The victim told police they believed McPherson was responsible, citing her recent visit to the victim’s home.
Investigators obtained surveillance footage from one of the businesses showing a suspect using the victim’s debit card. Photos from the footage were circulated to patrol officers, which led to the identification of McPherson as the suspect, according to the affidavit.
Authorities noted McPherson has a prior conviction for theft and a history of similar offenses.
McPherson was arrested in Craighead County and is currently being held at the Craighead County Detention Center on a hold out of Greene County.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
