JONESBORO, Ark. — A longtime Jonesboro restaurant has announced it is permanently closing its doors after three decades in business.
Lazzari Italian Oven, a full-service Italian restaurant that has operated in Jonesboro since 1995, shared the announcement in a Facebook post on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, confirming the decision to close after 30 years.
“It is with a heavy heart that I announce the permanent closure of the restaurant, a decision I have made after 30 years,” the post stated. “I am grateful for the loyalty and support of our customers throughout the years. I would be dishonest if I said this decision did not affect me deeply. Today has been an incredibly tough day. Thank you, NEA!”
Lazzari Italian Oven has been a fixture along South Caraway Road for decades, serving Italian dishes to generations of local families and residents. The restaurant was located at 2230 S. Caraway Road.
No specific reason for the closure was provided in the announcement, and no final operating date was listed.
