MARIANNA, Ark. — The Marianna Police Department (MPD) has asked the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) to investigate a homicide that occurred on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the corner of Alabama and Chestnuts streets.
The MPD received multiple 911 calls at about 12:44 a.m., reporting a shooting in the parking lot of a convenience store located at the intersection. Upon arrival, officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Ethan Martin, 20, of Marianna, was pronounced dead by the Lee County Coroner as he was being transported to a medical facility. A 27-year-old Marianna man was transported to Regional One Health in Memphis, for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The deceased will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory, where manner and cause of death will be determined.
