UPDATE: Suspect Captured After Harrisburg Police Warn Residents of Wanted Suspect

HARRISBURG — Authorities say a suspect connected to an abduction in Missouri has been arrested after his vehicle was found abandoned earlier Tuesday in Harrisburg.

Law enforcement told NEA Report that Black Patrick, of Hayti, Missouri, was taken into custody around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Lepanto.

Earlier in the day, Harrisburg Police Chief Turner issued a statement to the public after the vehicle tied to the abduction was discovered in town. Turner emphasized that there was no active shooter situation at any schools or in Harrisburg, but warned residents to stay alert as officers searched the area.

“We believe the suspect is armed, dangerous, and possibly still in the area,” Turner said in a statement posted to Facebook. “Please stay alert and report any suspicious activity by dialing 911 immediately. Do not approach this individual.”

Following coordinated efforts by multiple law enforcement agencies, Patrick was located and arrested without further incident.
