IMBODEN, Ark. — Three people were arrested after authorities found guns and drugs at a house in Imboden, according to a probable cause affidavit heard Friday in district court.
According to the affidavit by the Third Judicial District Drug Task Force, on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, a probation and parole compliance check was conducted at a residence in the 200 block of North Kentucky Street in Imboden. Stevphen and Brandy Mitchell were in the residence, with both on active supervision parole with a search waiver on file.
While searching a bedroom, a bag of white crystalline substance was located. Authorities noted a “spontaneous utterance” made by Stevphen that it was a community bedroom, and everyone was in and out of his room.
Authorities secured the residence as they waited for a search warrant to arrive, which was received by email at approximately 7:30 PM. A third resident, Dickie Mitchell, arrived at the home during this time.
In another unlocked room, five firearms were recovered, including rifles and shotguns. Various items of drug paraphernalia were located in the room, including inside a locked safe. Authorities also found needles, baggies, additional crystal substance, digital scales, and several rolls of cash totaling a few thousand dollars.
The affidavit notes that all three suspects have previous felony convictions and are prohibited from possessing firearms. Records show all three have four or more prior felony convictions, qualifying them as habitual offenders.
Authorities noted the residence is within 1000 feet of the First Baptist Church of Imboden, considered a drug-free zone.
Stevphen Mitchell, Brandy Mitchell, and Dickie Mitchell were all arrested on charges including:
- Simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, a Class Y felony
- Maintaining drug premises within 1000 feet of a drug-free zone, a Class B felony
