PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Paragould man is facing felony charges after police say he sent threatening messages stating he intended to kill the mother of his child and another person.
According to a probable cause affidavit from the Paragould Police Department, a victim reported on Sept. 29, 2025, that 50-year-old Michael Holtsclaw had sent a series of disturbing messages. Investigators said the messages indicated Holtsclaw had purchased a rifle for the purpose of shooting the mother of his child.
The affidavit states Holtsclaw wrote messages that included, “shes [sic] fucked,” “I’m going to prison, no I’m going to HELL, I’M SORRY,” along with threats directed at a second victim.
Holtsclaw was arrested and faces two counts of terroristic threatening, both Class D felonies.
District Judge Dan Stidham set bail at $25,000 cash only. Court records show Holtsclaw is under orders to have no contact with the alleged victims, possess no weapons, and wear a GPS ankle monitor while the case proceeds.
All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
