About Día de los Muertos

Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a rich cultural tradition with roots in Mexico that blends indigenous practices with Catholic influences. Families honor loved ones who have passed with ofrendas (altars) decorated with marigolds, candles, photographs, and favorite foods of the departed.

At this celebration, guests will experience traditional elements such as:

  • Pan de Muerto (Bread of the Dead): A seasonal sweet bread prepared specifically for this holiday.

  • Live Music and Dancing: A joyful reflection of the belief that Día de los Muertos is about celebrating life, not mourning.

  • Festive Attire: Black and white cocktail dress, often accented by colorful sugar skull designs and floral motifs.

Why Community Support is Critical
