PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Missouri man was arrested after police say he used metal knuckles to strike another person during a fight in Paragould.
On Sept. 30, 2025, Paragould Police Department officers responded to the 600 block of North 4th Street for a disturbance, according to a probable cause affidavit. When they arrived, they saw several people involved in a physical altercation.
Investigators said the incident began when a driver honked at a group of pedestrians, sparking a verbal confrontation. During the exchange, the suspect, identified as Gary D. Miller III, allegedly “chest bumped” one person, who shoved him back.
Miller then reportedly pulled a pair of metal knuckles from his pocket, chased several people down the street, and struck one individual in the head multiple times. The victim was transported to a local hospital with a head laceration.
Miller, 32, of Arbyrd, Mo., was arrested on charges of second-degree battery, a Class D felony, and criminal use of prohibited weapons, a Class A misdemeanor. Bail had not yet been set as of Wednesday.
All suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
