PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Paragould woman was arrested after police say she caused a vehicle collision and was found with methamphetamine while driving intoxicated on a suspended license.
According to the Paragould Police Department’s probable cause affidavit, the crash happened on Aug. 27, 2025. Officers at the scene said 51-year-old Kimberly Ann Barton showed signs of intoxication. A records check revealed she was driving with a suspended license.
Barton was arrested for driving while intoxicated. During an inventory search of her vehicle, police reported finding a bottle containing about one gram of methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia.
Barton faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, both Class D felonies, as well as driving while intoxicated and driving while suspended, both misdemeanors.
Her bail was set at $25,000 cash or surety.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
