Woman Accused of Stealing More Than $800 From Paragould Walmart

PARAGOULD, Ark. — A woman is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after police say she stole merchandise from Walmart and had previously been banned from the retailer’s properties.

On Aug. 23, 2025, Walmart reported several women had stolen merchandise and provided a vehicle description as they left, according to the probable cause affidavit. Police stopped the vehicle soon after and identified the driver as Ya’liya McBroom, 18.

Investigators said McBroom was caught taking more than $800 in merchandise without paying and confirmed she had been banned from Walmart-owned properties.

McBroom faces charges of commercial burglary, a Class C felony, and misdemeanor theft of property. Judge Dan Stidham set bail at $25,000 cash or surety with a no-contact order.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
