Paragould Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Minor, Making Recordings

PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Paragould man is facing serious felony charges after police say he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl and created digital recordings of the encounters.

On July 10, Det. Lt. Robert Sexton was advised of an ongoing sexual assault investigation in another jurisdiction and was provided evidence indicating an incident had also occurred in Paragould, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Sexton’s investigation determined that Barry Yarbrough, 26, allegedly had sexual intercourse with the victim multiple times and made recordings of the sexual activity, according to police.

Yarbrough faces charges of computer exploitation of a child, a Class Y felony, and fourth-degree sexual assault, a Class B felony.

No information about bail was available as of this publication.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
