Judge Brimhall Announces Re-Election Bid for Circuit Judge

JONESBORO, Ark. (press release) – Circuit Judge Doug Brimhall officially announces his campaign for re-election to the Second Judicial District, Division 4, in the March 3, 2026, election. As a lifelong Northeast Arkansas resident and dedicated public servant, Brimhall is committed to continuing his impartial application of the law, ensuring fair and efficient justice for the families and communities of Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Greene, Mississippi, and Poinsett counties.

“Serving as your Circuit Judge has been the honor of my lifetime,” said Judge Brimhall. “Every day on the bench, I am reminded of the profound responsibility to uphold the rule of law, protect our shared values, and deliver justice that is swift, equitable, and rooted in the Constitution. I am running for re-election because I believe in the strength of our communities and the importance of a judiciary that reflects integrity and fairness for all.”

Born and raised in Jonesboro, Brimhall graduated from Jonesboro High School in 2002, earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Arkansas in 2006, and received his Juris Doctor from Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in 2009. He founded Brimhall Law Firm in 2010, handling diverse cases across district, circuit, and federal courts, and also served as a part-time Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in the Second Judicial District from 2021-2024. Elected in 2024 with a clear voter mandate (52.78%), Brimhall has since presided over Division 4 with a focus on reducing case backlogs, improving access to justice, and treating every individual that appears before him with respect and dignity.

“I’ve seen firsthand how the judicial system impacts lives—from families in crisis to communities seeking accountability,” Brimhall emphasized. “My experience as a prosecutor, private practitioner, and now judge has equipped me to handle our district’s challenges. I remain dedicated to applying the law as written, defending constitutional principles, and fostering a courtroom built on trust.”

Brimhall’s personal story is deeply intertwined with Northeast Arkansas. A devoted husband to Brittany and father to four daughters, he is committed to family values and actively supports youth sports and community activities. The family attends First Church in Jonesboro, where his wife is a youth leader. Brimhall enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, lake and beach trips, along with leading a men’s weekly Bible study. These roots fuel his passion for service: “Our district is more than counties on a map—it’s our home, where we raise families, build businesses, and support one another. As judge, I strive every day to honor that by promoting justice that strengthens our communities and protects our family values.” Drawing from personal experiences, he emphasizes the importance of fairness in justice, stating, “I believe in the power of justice to support families and uphold fairness.”

Looking ahead, Brimhall’s campaign emphasizes judicial improvements, community engagement, and ethical standards. “We should not judge anyone solely by their darkest day, but by their commitment to growth and service thereafter,” he noted. “I’ve learned valuable lessons in my life and career, deepening my resolve to serve with humility and excellence, always putting our district first.” Supporters can join at www.electbrimhall.com (donate/volunteer portals live soon), follow on X and Facebook, or attend upcoming events. “Together, we’ll ensure a judiciary that works for everyone in Northeast Arkansas. I humbly ask for your vote on March 3, 2026.”
