JONESBORO, Ark. — A woman with a previous theft conviction was arrested again for theft this week in Jonesboro.
On Jan. 12, officers were dispatched to Walmart on Parker Road for a shoplifter, the probable cause affidavit said. Loss prevention told police they observed the suspect concealing property. They stopped her and escorted her to the loss prevention office.
When officers ran the suspect’s name, they learned she had been convicted of theft, greater than $1,000, within the last year. She told police she was presently on probation for the theft.
Haley Jo Mullins, 30, of Wynne, faces a charge of theft, $1,000 or less, second offense, a Class D felony. Bail was set at $1,500 cash or surety on Monday, Jan. 13. Her next court date is set for Feb. 28.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
