Man Arrested for Alleged Felony Battery in Paragould

PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Paragould man is facing a felony battery charge after an incident this week in Paragould.

On Dec. 4, officers with the Paragould Police Department were dispatched to S. 7th Street about a domestic disturbance, the probable cause affidavit states. Officers noted the alleged victim had a minor injury to the right side of their throat.

Officers arrested Kevan Leake, 45, of Paragould, for third-degree domestic battering, a Class D felony.

The affidavit states that Leake pled guilty to the same charge, third-degree domestic battery, on October 22, 2020.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
