TRUMANN, Ark. — Authorities were conducting interviews and investigating details about a shooting incident where a man was believed to have fatally shot himself Saturday afternoon in Trumann.
Around 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 21, Trumann Police Chief Jon Redman responded to the call, he told NEA Report. A 19-year-old male shot himself while playing “Russian Roulette,” according to the police chief. The gunshot wound was fatal.
The tragic incident was witnessed by a group of his friends, some of whom were juveniles, Redman said.
His body is being sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office, a component of the Arkansas State Crime Lab. The investigation will be completed once the medical examiner’s findings are released, Redman said.
The deceased was identified by police as Logan Coursey of Trumann.
