
WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. – A former court clerk is facing numerous charges on allegations that she misappropriated over $320,000 in court fines.
Megan Maxwell Goudy, 32, a former clerk for the Marion District Court, was charged on Monday, July 24, 2023, with eight counts of forgery and one count of theft of property.
The charges come after an investigation by the Arkansas State Police revealed Goudy allegedly misappropriated over $320,000 in court fines over a span of three years, between 2019 and 2022, a release from ASP said.
Goudy, a resident of West Memphis, is now facing serious charges for her alleged misconduct during her tenure at the court. Further details about the case have not been disclosed yet.
Arkansas State Police are investigating the case.
