White County sheriff’s deputies seize over $3,000,000 in drugs

67 Pounds Of Drugs Found in Traffic Stop

One of the largest drug seizures in NEA in recent memory happened this week in White County, a release posted to Facebook said.

On February 8, 2022, a White County deputy assigned to drug interdiction made a traffic stop at the northbound 47-mile marker between Searcy and Judsonia. The vehicle had two occupants: Javier Rodela and Alejandro Flores.

The driver, Rodela, consented to a search of the vehicle, the release said. That’s when deputies found the hidden drugs.

Photos show mounds of suspected crystal methamphetamine stacked together at the sheriff’s office following the bust. Some was hidden inside of the doors of the vehicle. More was found inside of the bodywork of the vehicle. The drugs were in one-kilogram packages.

An inspection of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of 62 pounds of methamphetamine, 24,000 pills of an unknown opiate (suspected to be fentanyl), and $4991 in cash.

Rodela and Flores were taken into custody and the vehicle brought to the Sheriff’s Office.

Central Arkansas Drug Task Force estimates the street value of the seizure to be approximately $3,275,000.
