NEWPORT Ark. – A pass that sailed over the fence of an area prison recently was intercepted by the blue team.
A post by the Arkansas Department of Correction’s Facebook page showed a hollowed-out football full of illegal contraband thrown over the fence of an Arkansas prison.
The fake was spotted and recovered by guards.
The date is not specified but it happened at the Grimes Unit in Newport. Two kinds of drugs and several cell phones were found in the football.
None of the contents made it to the prison population.
