PARAGOULD, Ark. – A tragic murder-suicide is seeing more details come to light.
On September 25th, 2018, Paragould Police Officers responded to a call in the Darling Street area in reference to a suicide. Officers located a deceased male identified as Gallie Charles Jr., 60, of Paragould, with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
A witness on scene stated that Gallie had stated he had killed his ex-wife just prior to shooting himself.
A deceased female identified as Cathy Charles, 59 of Paragould, was located at a Paragould business minutes later with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head.
Cathy Charles and Gallie Charles, Jr. had recently gone through a divorce.
Both bodies have been sent to the Arkansas Crime Lab and autopsy results are pending.
