Maynard gunshots believed self-inflicted; under investigation

MAYNARD, Ark. – A white female appears to have been killed by a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Maynard. It is being investigated by police, a release said.

On 9/25/2018 at 8:37 a.m., Randolph County Dispatch received a 911 call in reference to gunshots being fired into a residence, the release said. Randolph County deputies were dispatched to the scene.

Upon the officer’s arrival, they discovered a white female with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Arkansas State Police CID was called to assist in the investigation which is ongoing at this time. The body is being sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab.
