MARKED TREE, Ark. – An armed robbery at a gas station in Marked Tree led authorities to asking for the public’s help in finding the suspect – considered “armed and extremely dangerous.” He has since been apprehended.
Marked Tree police believe Richard Edward Lashawn Merritt Jr., seen above, was involved in an armed robbery at Jordan’s Kwik Shop in Marked Tree. The release says Merritt is 20 years old. He is approximately 6 feet tall and weighs about 220 pounds. Merritt was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, black sweat pants, black tennis shoes, and had a black scarf over his face. Merritt is from the Earle area.
Authorities said he was to be considered armed and extremely dangerous.
