JONESBORO, Ark. – Police are looking for a man who allegedly made a threat Thursday to drive to Jonesboro’s Social Security Administration office and kill everyone there.

At 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jonesboro Police Department Officer John Eidson Jr. arrived at the Social Security Administration office in Jonesboro to speak with the operations supervisor, said an incident report from JPD. The supervisor told the officer earlier at 10:10 a.m. in the Poplar Bluff office, a subject was speaking with a caseworker when the situation became alarming.

The subject, Gordon E. Lamborn, 44, of Corning, was reported to have told the caseworker he was leaving there, driving to the Jonesboro office, and killing everyone there.

The situation became tense when Lamborn reportedly had dealings with the office and was very unhappy with the results.

The Jonesboro Social Security Administration office has tightened security in response and notified Federal law enforcement officers, the report said.

The man could face felony terroristic threatening charges if arrested but would likely face such charges in Missouri where the alleged behavior took place.

If you can help police locate Lamborn, you may call the Jonesboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division at (870) 935-6710 or Crime Stoppers at (870) 935-7867 (935-STOP.)

  1. Could rectify this by just closing down all the SS offices and giving people the 15% of their income that’s been stolen from them.
