WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – Commencement exercises at Williams Baptist College are set for Saturday, May 13th. U.S. Senator John Boozman will be the speaker for the ceremony, which begins at 10 a.m. in WBC’s Southerland-Mabee Center.
Boozman is Arkansas’s senior U.S. Senator and the dean of the state’s Congressional delegation. First elected to the Senate in 2010, he was sworn in for a second term this year. Prior to serving in the Senate, he represented Arkansas’s Third District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
An estimated 100 graduates will receive their diplomas from WBC at the commencement exercises. Williams will also honor its Golden Eagles, those who graduated from WBC 50 or more years ago. Those alumni will march into the ceremony, along with this year’s graduates.
