JONESBORO, Ark. – Another new business will be opening soon in Jonesboro
HomeGoods, the nation’s largest retailer of off-price home fashions, has signed a leased to open a new 23,250 square foot store in the Caraway Plaza center, where they will join other national retail chains TJ Maxx, Natural Grocers, Old Navy, Rack Room, Merle Norman and Hallmark; solidifying Caraway Plaza as the largest collection of national retailers in the region outside The Mall at Turtle Creek, said Halsey Thrasher Harpole in a press release.
“This is great news for Jonesboro and all of Northeast Arkansas,” said Gary Harpole, Managing Partner at Halsey Thrasher Harpole, who manages and represents the shopping center. “We have been working for months putting all the pieces in motion, and it’s a big day now that the leases are signed. By the time HomeGoods is open for business, Caraway Plaza will have been remodeled and re-tenanted into one of the premiere shopping centers in Northeast Arkansas. HomeGoods is in great company; and that’s one of the reasons they chose this location.”
HomeGoods currently operates just under 600 locations in 45 states, making it the largest retailer in its home fashion category in the United States. The store in Jonesboro will open in 2018. They are part of the TJX Companies along with sister companies TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Sierra Trading Post.
“We are starting our work of coordinating with their architects and construction crews,” Harpole said. “They are scheduled to be on site later this year and open for business in 2018.”
Harpole said this latest announcement is the result of working hard to be responsive to the desires of the market. “HomeGoods consistently ranked at the top of any social media poll or focus group survey in terms of retailers most desired by shoppers in Northeast Arkansas. It feels great to be able to put this deal together and know that they are going to have a great impact on our market.”
The project was a joint effort between HTH of Jonesboro and Flake & Kelley Commercial of Little Rock representing Home Goods.
