
WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – Brianna Warner of Walnut Ridge, Ark., will deliver her senior presentation at Williams Baptist College on Thursday, March 30, 2017. The presentation will begin at 7 p.m. in the choral room of WBC’s Maddox Center.
Warner’s address is entitled, “”Women Composers in the 19th Century,” and she will be lecturing on the lives and influence of Louise Farrenc, Fanny Mendelssohn, Clara Wieck Schumann, Teresa Carreño, and Amy March Cheney Beach. She will also perform samples of piano and vocal compositions to illustrate and exemplify their work.
Warner is a senior music major. She is married to Ben Warner and is the daughter of Steven and Tammie McAbee of Magnolia, Ark.
Students majoring in music, church music or music education at WBC present senior recitals or lectures as part of their requirements for graduation. The public is invited and there is no cost to attend.
Williams is a four-year liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge.
