POWHATAN, Ark. – The community is hoping for a good showing by concerned local citizens at a reception this Friday for the NEARA at Powhatan.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the event will be hosted. Guests from Little Rock and any legislators who attend will be invited to speak at 11:30 after which finger foods will be served in the Male and Female Academy.
NEARA will be celebrating its sixth anniversary on Friday.
Stop by Powhatan any time between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday to tour the NEARA and dig into family history or research life in the 1800’s.
