Park vandalism, consolidation impact on Nov. WR City Council agenda

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – A good deal of new business will be discussed Monday night in Walnut Ridge.

The City Council’s November meeting will begin with new business in the form of a lease renewal for JumpStart Animal Shelter.

Then, discussion of the 2017 Budget Proposal will be held, followed by a resolution up for vote to engage Ryan Cooper as City Prosecutor for 2017.

An ordinance and resolution for rezoning of 905 S.E. 7th Street is up for vote.

More will be talked about regarding the tornado siren at the Walnut Ridge Airport.

Park vandalism will be addressed with an ordinance Monday night.

There is also expected to be an Airport Commission appointment of Clay Sloan for 2017

The College City/Walnut Ridge consolidation will have an impact on the soon-to-be single city. Alderman Jon Walter will update the council on the economic impact.

Finally, budgeted for discussion is firemen’s pension
