TRUMANN, Ark. – The man police said was behind an August 31 bank robbery in Trumann is behind bar.
On Friday, Nov. 11, Trumann Police Department took Willie Ray Jones, Jr., 49, of Trumann into custody without incident in the city limits.
Jones is accused of entering the First Delta Bank, 445 Highway 463 in Trumann, with a shotgun, approaching the tellers and demanding money. Police say after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, he fled the bank.
The TPD collected evidence at the scene which they said in a press release led to the signing of a warrant for the arrest of the suspect.
Willie Ray Jones, Jr. is being charged with two counts of felony aggravated robbery and is being held in lieu of a bond hearing.
